SocGen makes Americas FX push with string of new hires
French bank eyes US and Latin American real money clients
Societe Generale is pursuing an expansion of its foreign exchange trading business in the Americas, having made a series of new hires in the US and Latin America.
Eric Darwell joined the bank from Crédit Agricole in the summer as head of FX and emerging markets rates trading for the Americas, and is leading a fresh initiative to boost SocGen’s local market-making presence in the region.
