When Credit Suisse first began to extend its algorithmic execution technology from equities into foreign exchange in 2006, it marked the start of a new era, and while it took a few years to take off, a whole host of top-tier banks now compete in the provision of algo execution for FX, including Citi, JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Scotland and BNP Paribas.
