Avelacom reduces London to Hong Kong latency to 150ms

Improvements to the firm’s network are part of its increased focus on Asia

Avelacom has reduced latency between London and HK by 10.9 milliseconds

Connectivity provider Avelacom has reduced round-trip latency between London and Hong Kong to 150 milliseconds, following improvements to its network in a bid to cater to speed-conscious market participants in the Asia-Pacific region, the firm announced today.

The Russian firm says the enhancements made to its connection grid, including an additional point of presence (PoP) at Hong Kong Exchange’s (HKEX) co-location data centre, has reduced latency between the Interxion data centre in London
