Esma withdraws Bloomberg’s trade repository registration

Bloomberg clients have already been transferred to a repository of their choice

Esma withdrew Bloomberg’s trade repository registration on March 1 at the firm’s request

The European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma), the supervisor of trade repositories in the European Union, withdrew Bloomberg’s registration on March 1 at the firm’s request. 

Bloomberg notified the European regulator on February 5 that it was officially renouncing its trade repository registration under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (Emir).

All of Bloomberg’s clients have already been migrated to one of the remaining eight trade repositories of their choice.

Under Emir
