Perry Stimpson, a former Citigroup trader dismissed over investigations into foreign exchange trading and benchmarks, has told an employment tribunal in London that the activities for which he was fired were common practice at the bank during his time there.

Stimpson, who is representing himself in court, said he wanted to set the record straight and repair his reputation, and added that he was "not here to mud-sling" but to ensure that the "truth about foreign exchange at Citi is heard once and
