BIS and SNB co-operate on central bank digital currency

The Bank for International Settlements and the Swiss National Bank have unveiled details of how they will jointly research technology innovations affecting central banking.

On October 8, the institutions signed an operational agreement to work in the BIS’s innovation hub in Switzerland. Initially, the agreement will cover two research projects.
