China beefs up derivatives master agreements; CFTC roles out retail rules

The National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (Nafmii) began looking to beef up definitions that go with its interbank master agreements, which govern many onshore over-the-counter derivatives transactions in China, according to sources familiar with the organisation.

Along with the details of each trade, every trade document is backed up by a lengthy definitions section – a legal boilerplate that
