CME Sticks By Diff Contracts Despite Lack Of Interest

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange isn't giving up the ship on its DIFF contracts, at least not yet, despite the fact that volume has become almost nonexistent, officials at the exchange say.

In an attempt to perk up interest in the contract, the CME initiated a Market Incentive Program, setting up market makers in the pits. First Continental began posting bids and offers in all three of the DIFF contracts earlier this month.
