Panellists were bullish on China's long-term prospects at FX Week Australia; commodities priced in RMB will be a game-changer for Sydney's status as a trading hub
Australian investors should not be put off by the recent volatility in China's markets, but instead position themselves to benefit from its sweeping liberalisation efforts, panellists argued at the second FX Week Australia conference in Sydney on March 17.
Adam McKissack, a principal adviser to the Australian Treasury's markets group, acknowledged there were "still a lot of questions about China" and that 2015 had been "a bit of a setback", but he added there was little reason to panic.
