Cardon hired for currency portfolio at Russell Investments

As investors seek to lower unwanted currency exposure

Russell Investments has hired Elise Cardon, former deputy chief executive of OptimInvest, as a currency portfolio manager.

The appointment comes in response to investors' increasing interest in strategies to mitigate unwanted currency exposure and also expands the firm's foreign exchange offering.

London-based Cardon reports to Joseph Hoffman, global director for equity derivatives and FX. She will be responsible for establishing, directing and implementing currency trading and management
