Canadian FX committee chair retires

Donna Howard, chair of the Canadian Foreign Exchange Committee (CFEC) at the Bank of Canada and adviser to the governor of the central bank, retired from her role on January 2. The CFEC will now be chaired by Paul Chilcott, head of financial markets.

Howard first joined the Bank of Canada in 1976. She worked for an investment fund in the early 1980s, and spent the 1990s involved in technical assistance programmes for developing markets run by the International Monetary Fund and the Canadian
