Nomura reports poor H2 results
The losses are more than three times those of last year. Net revenue fared equally poorly, plummeting by 96.5% to ¥4.4 billion. The figures, which apply for the six months to September 30, were attributed "primarily to turmoil in the global financial markets".
The investment banking division made a pre-tax profit of ¥3.9 billion, but this still represents a decrease of 77.1% from 2007. Meanwhile, group revenue dropped from ¥521.5 billion to ¥263.2 billion, and last year's net profit of ¥64.2
