Electronic trading grows tenfold in some EM currencies

Rupiah, ringgit and offshore renminbi are biggest areas of growth and interest

Volumes in electronically traded offshore renminbi have grown eight- to tenfold within just a year, and interest in electronic trading of non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) in currencies such as the Indonesian rupiah and the Malaysian ringgit is also rising sharply, delegates heard at the 10th annual FX Week Asia conference in Singapore.
