CNH contracts on SGX break daily record in November

November was third-highest trading month for USD/CNH since contract began trading on the exchange

The value of USD/CNH futures contracts traded on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) broke a single-day trading record in November, as the unrelenting US-China trade war focused the market’s attention on emerging market currencies, and the renminbi in particular.

Offshore renminbi trading began the month with two successive days when the USD/CNH pair traded above $4 billion. A new single-day trading record was set on November 2, when $4.64 billion notional was traded.
