CME Sets New Proposals In Motion A Foreign Denominated Cross Rate?

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange is moving ahead with its plans to attract institutions, commodity trading advisors and commodity pool operators, sources there say. Its proposal to launch an average price mechanism and to defray position limit concerns are both in the hands of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The exchange is also working toward offering foreign denominated contracts, a development that could affect its lethargic cross rate futures and options contracts.
